Blekinge County is the smallest of Sweden´s 24 counties with an area of about
120 km by 50 km. 150.000 people live here. Blekinge County is centrally located
in the Baltic Sea Region, and is called The Garden of Sweden thanks to its verdure
and exuberance.

The main task of the County Council is to ensure that the inhabitants have access
to health and medical care services. Dental care is also an important part of our activities.

The County Council’s activities are mostly financed by taxes.
